A great day - from the start right to the end

A fun filled day was had today.  We all had such a great day.  It was hot and humid, our clothes were seriously wet, our faces were red and sweaty but we did not stop having fun.

Universal Studios was great!

Have to admit this morning and last night we were trying to figure out whether it was worthwhile getting ourselves a Sentosa Fun Pass.  We were told about it, when we checked in and could see many posters etc about it.  Then when waiting in the queue at the Trickeye Museum, a local lady spoke of it being good value.

So this morning we worked out the attractions which we wanted to go to.

There is seriously so much to do here - and in our 2.5 days we can only do so much.  So we worked out the must do for this trip.

We bought ourselves our 80 tokens each (Sentosa Fun Pass) which sees us do the four attractions today and tomorrow plus we added Universal Studio admission.  SGD400 later and we were our way.

On the top of our list for today, was Universal Studios and it did not disappoint one little bit.

We purchased Express passes in addition to our admission tickets - as we learnt the hard way when at Hong Kong Disneyland.  Waiting in the queue (in HK) for one hour, for a five min ride was crazy - and so this time, we spent the money and bought Express passes (SGD 50 each) and after three rides, of walking past the entire queues and pretty much getting on the next round, the passes were without a doubt worth it.

We remembered in HK, we only got on two, maybe three rides in the day - whereas today we had six (maybe seven) rides and waited at the most 5 - 10 mins.  When you see a 45/60 min queue time on the board, why would you.  I shouldn't say that - because we did in HK.

The Waterworld show which we watched was fantastic!  As was the Shrek 4D experience - of which this was the first time William experienced such a thing.

It was Fun, with a capital F!

Six hours had passed - we were so, so hot and sweaty we decided it was time for us to say good bye to Universal Studios and hello Le Meridian pool.  Was quite the relief - even though the pool was surprisingly a lot warmer than I would expect.

On the agenda for tonight was also the Wings of Time.  A light, sound, laser, water and fireworks show.  It was spectacular.  MisterD commented having never seen anything like it before - and either had I.

After the show it was time for dinner - and so we ate tonights dinner at the Sands Bar, on the beach - which was special.  It was first time, I have eaten on the beach and it was a lovely evening to be doing so.

Then back on the monorail, just one stop to our hotel.  An icecream whilst sitting in front of the Merlion at front of our hotel - and then back to our room.  Well I made my way back to the room first and the two boys stayed out a little longer.

MisterD has gotten back into his geocaching and it is on this trip that MasterW has been enjoying doing it too.  So they did a little geocaching and then headed back to the room.

Just one more day here in Sentosa - and then we are heading home Wednesday.

MasterW's best thing of the day was Wings of Time.
MisterD's best thing of the day was Wings of Time.
MissC's best thing of the day Wings of Time.  (Was tough to decide as we had so much fun at Universal Studio and I truly loved eating our dinner on the beach.  But the Show was pretty damn good)

MisterD's tip of the day - hunt for shade and drink lots of water, and then dive in for airconditioning (shop) when you can.
